Lots going on around here...

Some exciting stuff happening over here, let me tell you!

Christopher has learned to open doors. Not the lever kind, but the real knob kind. Nothing is sacred in our house anymore.

I FINALLY got a baseball tee. I've wanted one for months and months but didn't want to buy one just to wear while big and huge and whale like.

Mikah found her thumb and sucked on it like there was no tomorrow, until she lost it again. Poor girl.

Christopher discovered playdough. Loves it! But is constantly trying to eat it. I see a big problem in the future.

We took a trip as a family to visit my brother at work, Johnny Rockets, in Philly. What a fun evening that was! Christopher's first South Street experience. He even got a sweeeeeet pair of shoes out of the deal! Thank you fabulous thrift store!

I've been busy working on a super fun project for something super exciting! (how vague and mysterious sounding right? I love it!)

Mikah is still sleeping... ALLLL the time. Except at night, of course!

Everyone in the house, well me and Christopher, have a serious problem with the fact we can't get enough orange soda. It's just so delicious!! Fanta's the best though... in case you were wondering.

.........

Oh... and yeah... that other news...

......................

We are going on an adventure. The four of us...

It is going to be quite the trip and as exciting as it is, it really is incredibly sad at the same time.

I'll be honest, I've already cried... a number of times...

The husband got a job transfer and promotion (nice work my love!) which is not the sad part. The hard part is that... We're leaving everything we know, our entire family, our home, our lives... We are going to be packing our little family up... me, the husband, the small boy and tiny girl... and moving our lives all the way across the country to the distant land of Seattle Washington. You know as far as we can get from our family basically with out leaving the continental United States.
I know almost nothing about the place. (Totally just found out there is apparently a volcano?! What?!) I have never been there. I don't know many people there (well only really one as far as I know... Love you Betsy!!) But we are going to survive. We have about a gazillion things to do and arrangements to make, none of which we've even started but alas it will all be good right?

Now... enough of the emotionalness... Lets focus on the good... the adventure in it all! What a fun time we are going to have right??

Anyone know anything about Seattle? What do we need to do?? Give me everything you got! I think I'm going to start a bucket list...

  7. Oh my goodness! We were just in Seattle celebrating our anniversary! We went exploring and you would love Alki Beach, there is also a bike trail all the way to Lincoln Park, which would be perfect for your little kiddos (it has a wading pool, swings, fields, all within walking distance of the bay. That picture you have posted was taken from Kerry Park, which has an excellent view, and a play area.
Pagliacci, has fantastic pizza, and try the Beachside Cafe on Alki.

I have more, but you will fall in love with the place, and Pike's Place is full of little shops that you will love!

Plus Bobby and I live only 4 hours away!
